Jonathan Weekes of Heron Drums has been sharing the art and practice of the shamanic drum with individuals and groups across the UK for many years. In this popular evening class—offered for the first time since 2021—he will guide you through a grounded, accessible introduction to the world of shamanic drumming.

This 2-hour class is for anyone who feels called to explore the drum as a sacred tool—whether you’re completely new to shamanic drumming or already have a drum and want to deepen your connection and understanding. This class offers a practical and heart centred starting point for building a meaningful relationship with the drum and its many uses.

Together we’ll explore:

• What shamanic drumming is, and its background
• Different ways to connect with the drum as a spiritual ally
• How to begin working with your drum confidently at home

If you have a drum with you, there will be a few opportunities to join in with your drum during the session—so please do have it nearby if you’d like to take part. If you don’t yet have a drum, you'll be able to relax and simply enjoy to the sound and voice of the drum as we go, which can be just as powerful.
